â
Beethoven's 2nd symphony is a light and joyful symphony. It was written at the end of his youth, the beginning of his security as a composer and perhaps reveals some his personal character in dealing with the realisation of his impaired hearing.
The concert will be in support of Winchester Hospice (registered charity no. 1180948) Net proceeds from ticket sales will be shared with the Hospice and additional donations will be possible via a retiring collection. A representative from the Hospice will say a few words.
