FAt 10 am, noon, 2 pm, and 4 pm on May 18 and 25, St. Marys Express takes passengers on a journey through picturesque woodlands and marshlands with entertainment all along the way. It's the debut of the Circus Train created in honor of the recent filming of "Dumbo" in St. Marys.
At the Midway stage, actors from St. Marys Little Theatre bring the Big Top story to life with Greatest Show on Earth performers that include a fierce but funny lion tamer, bearded lady, clowns and much more.
"The Circus Train runs right through the St. Marys location where Dumbo was filmed so our passengers get a chance to ride right through a movie backdrop," said Barbara Ryan, St. Marys Express Entertainment Director. "Children of all ages from 2 to 92 will enjoy the antics of the colorful characters that entertain on the train and at the midway."
Train passengers can also enjoy the St. Marys Railroad Museum featuring running model trains before or after each ride.
Ryan said St. Marys Express is expecting an early sellout as the most recent train excursions were totally booked ahead of time.
The Circus Train departs from Theatre by the Trax, 1000 Osborne Street in St. Marys, at 10 am, noon, 2 pm, and 4 pm May 18 and 25. Tickets are $20 for adults and $14 for children 12 and under.
