Battleground Productions is pleased to announce the world premiere of an original holiday entertainment, The Christmas Case: A Lady Brass Mystery by John Longenbaugh, opening at The Chapel Theatre in Milwaukie Friday November 29th and running through December 21st.

In this new play by the author of Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Christmas Carol, a valuable sapphire is stolen during a Christmas holiday at a country house, and it's up to a lady detective and her daughter to solve the mystery and save an engagement. Blending two parts P.G. Wodehouse to one part Agatha Christie, it's an original concoction especially created for the holiday season.

The immensely popular Sherlock/Carol broke box office records both at ART and Seattle's Taproot Theatre a few years back, and is being revived this year at Olympia's Harlequin Productions featuring the original Holmes, Terry Edward Moore, opening the same night as The Christmas Case. Longenbaugh, a recent Portland transplant from Seattle, is also the author of How to Be Cool, Scotch and Donuts, Arcana and over a half-dozen other plays, and the creator of the adventure podcast BRASS.
