This celebratory show features the songs of Carole King and James Taylor, with an all star band of Rebecca Turner (keyboard and vocals), Michael Goulding (lead guitar and vocals), Tony Hammond (bass and vocals) and Howard Tibble (drums). The show takes the audience on a journey through the early days of Carole King's writing career at the Brill building and her partnership with Gerry Goffin, and her later career and hugely successful collaboration with James Taylor..
Together they wanted to create a show to bring Carole King's and James Taylor's songs to life and perform them as authentically as possible. Rebecca currently plays in the house band at a community blues jam at The Princess Alexandra pub in Crouch End, and very much enjoys the enthusiasm and zest amongst local people for live music. Playing at Holy Innocents Church felt like a great project that would be of interest to locals from Crouch End's enormously creative community.
