Call for submissions for EMERGENCE: A Celebration of Emerging Artists

EMERGENCE is organized by the Leadership and Entrepreneurship in the Arts Program at Daemen College in collaboration with Arts Services Inc., Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology, Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center, CEPA Gallery and Crucible Art Collective.

The Leadership and Entrepreneurship in the Arts program will award a $1,000 sponsorship to an artist selected by the jury. The jury will look at artistic merit and professional impact or potential when making its award. The award is intended to support professional development or an upcoming arts project of the artist's choosing.

EMERGENCE is a two month celebration of early career artists who have already made a professional impact in their fields. Through juried art shows, performances, lectures, and panel discussions, EMERGENCE will shine the spotlight on young and emerging artists whose work is at the cutting edge and whose early careers have already begun to make a difference in the cultural life of Western New York. Artists selected for EMERGENCE will be celebrated as the people to watch as new generations continue to shape the artistic landscape of the region.
