Bucovina is the most prominent Romanian Metal band, pioneering their own genre since 2000, but they already started composing songs since 1996 like "Sunt Munti Si Paduri" as Traditional Romanian Black Metal.
Bucovina brings forward a most interesting mixture of Black metal and Heavy metal, well spiced with folk elements and melodic lines. Having played with bands like Nokturnal Mortum, Arkona, Moonsorrow, Korpiklaani, Finntroll, Eluveitie, Bucovina went on with flying color, since then they became the most prominent metal band from Romania, they have a total of 12.000.000+ streams & views! With a unique concept, far from glorifying war and industrialized dying, the band goes to the archives for the songs and in long-forgotten correspondence between warriors and homeland, to give a face to the nameless horror.
Each song is lyrically based on real stories and has a personal touch provided to make the madness tangible.
The focus is on individual fates from the personal environment of the band and it's much more than a reappraisal of the horror, they give stories representing millions of victims in the cold trenches, deep waters and high airs of innumerable skirmishes.
