BSO Proms in the Park: Symphonic Smash Hits - the 80s

The BSO is back at Meyrick Park for an evening of smash hits from the 80s!

The BSO has brought you ABBA, Queen and Disco and this year we celebrate the 80s and a symphonic party of smash hits from the era of new romantics, big hair and even bigger shoulder pads! Classic tracks feature some of the biggest hits of the decade by Madonna, Toto, Ultravox, Elton John, Bonnie Tyler, Michael Jackson, David Bowie, A-Ha, George Michael and many more. All this plus our usual fantastic fireworks and pyrotechnics!

Bring along your families and friends with a picnic and a bottle of bubbly, for a summer evening under the stars accompanied by the top tunes of the 80s! Gates open from 6pm.

The incredible Pete Harrison returns to the BSO as conductor. And soloists Emma Kershaw, Katie Birtill, Oliver Tompsett and Patrick Smyth will be providing the vocals for hits such as...
