Bring It On: The Musical Auditions

The production is directed by Johnny Nichols, Jr. with musical direction by Melissa Carubia.  Bring It On: The Musical is a special production of Academy of The Company Theatre’s A.C.T. Summer Workshop.

Based on the popular series of films, Bring It On!: The Musical transports audiences to the fierce rivalries and high drama of the cutthroat world of competitive high school cheerleading.

Audition candidates should be strong singers and dancers, and arrive prepared to sing 16 to 32 bars from the show or from a show in a similar style, and be comfortably dressed for movement. Acapella singing is not accepted and an accompanist will be provided. A score will be available, sides for readings will be provided. A headshot and resume is helpful but not required. A $5 non-refundable audition fee is due upon arrival.

Tuition for Bring It On: The Musical classes and production is $450 per student, some financial assistance is available. Attendance at auditions does not ensure casting, tuition is due after casting is announced.  Students may combine tuition to this program with Summer Workshop Classes (tuition $695), held on the same daily schedule from 9:30 am to 12 noon, for a combined discount rate of $595. A completed audition form must accompany audition candidates.

Rehearsals are held during A.C.T Summer Workshop (June 22nd-July 11th) from 12:30 to 4:15 pm. Additional rehearsal commitment includes mandatory attendance during tech week. Rehearsals Mondays and Wednesdays will also be held before the Workshop begins on 5/27, 6/1, 6/3, 6/8, 6/10, 6/15, and 6/17.

Bring It On: The Musical is presented on July 9-11, 7:30 pm.  Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for students, available at www.companytheatre.com.
