The Briggs-McDermott House is a Greek Revival style house restored and furnished to reflect the period of 1840 to 1910. The society is also proud of the restoration of the music room ceiling painted circa 1890 by famous marine artist Charles Raleigh. Also on the property is the Alonzo Booth Blacksmith shop and the Carriage House. The blacksmith shop is one of the very few working forges remaining on Cape Cod and in the carriage house is a display of beautifully restored horse drawn carriages. This summer the theme for the house is "Grandma's Chic". Rooms will be full of table settings of vintage china historically unique to a past generation. admission is free / donations always appreciated
