The Blount County Blue Lives Matter Golf Tournament is a planned event to help provide fun and profit for the participants while raising awareness and appreciation for our local law enforcement communities (The Blount County Sheriff's Department, The City of Maryville Police Department, The City of Alcoa Police Department and The City of Townsend Police Department).
The men and women that serve in law enforcement put their lives on the line for their communities with each and every day of their lives. This should never go unnoticed or unappreciated. The people of Blount County want you to know that we HAVE noticed and we DO appreciate everything you do for us.
Premise:
Each team of four golfers will be donating $200 ($50 per player from their entry fee) to the Blount County Law Enforcement communities to be used for equipment, operating expenses, etc.
Format:
The tournament will be a 4-Man Best Ball Tournament. Each team consisting of 4 players, each hitting their own ball and moving to the location of the best ball, each player hitting from that location, and continuing in that fashion until the ball is holed. Play continues in the fashion until each team has played all 18 holes.
Structure:
Entry fee will be $500 per team ($125 per player), which consists of $140 Green Fees + $200 Donation + $160 Prize Money.
Extras:
Hole sponsors will be accepted and will go towards extra prizes such as Close to the Pin or Hole-in-One prizes
Extra donations will also be accepted and can be directed to a specific district or divided between all four districts.
