BFS WELCOMES RON JUDKINS, SOUND PRODUCTION MIXER FOR "THE FABLEMANS" AND TWO TIME OSCAR-WINNER, FOR A LIVELY BEHIND-THE-SCREEN LOOK AT SOUND MIXING.

Part memoir, part ode to the power of the movies, "The Fabelmans", nominated for 7 Academy Awards, finds Steven Spielberg digging at the family roots that helped make him a beloved filmmaker -- and proves he hasn't lost his magic touch. Starring Michelle Williams, Paul Dano, Seth Rogan, Gabriel LaBelle, and Judd Hirsch. PG13. 153 minutes. Filmmaker talk-back with Ron Judkins follows.

Clyde Park, MT resident Ron Judkins has enjoyed a forty-year career as a Production Sound Mixer in the motion picture industry. He has won two Oscars for his work on Jurassic Park and Saving Private Ryan, along with Oscar nominations for Schindler's List, War of the Worlds, and Lincoln. He is also the writer and director of the two independent films The Hi-Line and Finding Neighbors.
