Author and Festival Director David Fennell said: "This is an exciting new book festival for Brighton. As a team of local authors we believe in the power of books and storytelling to bring communities together, to foster connections and increase and nurture cultural growth. We will ensure that Brighton authors are celebrated alongside other leading figures of the literary world from across the country."

The day-long festival includes a fascinating historical panel discussing books on Bones, Broadway, Erotica and the Plague. A true crime panel on catching predatory killers will feature two ex-policemen turned authors. Also on the billing is a panel asking what is women's fiction. Local authors Araminta Hall, Graham Bartlett, Erin Young and David Fennell will discuss their recent publications. For budding authors, an industry panel will feature agents and publishers at the top of their game. The full schedule will be available to view on the website.

Bestselling author and board member, Araminta Hall said:
‘It has been said that Brighton has more writers than seagulls. Such a vibrant, literary town deserves a cracking festival celebrating local and international talent. We're very excited to be making this happen, along with the wonderful Goldsboro Books and their beautiful seaside bookshop. Come for the writers and stay for the cocktails!'

Bestselling author and board member, Erin Young said:
"Beyond the book are the writers and the readers - we wanted to curate a festival that showcases the abundance of creative talent we have in our amazing city, from well-known authors to new and exciting voices across multiple genres. A festival by writers for readers - with something for everyone."

Crammed with familiar and new authors across many genres and a publishing panel which lifts the lid a book's journey from laptop to the High Street, this event is like no other. If you love books, you'll adore learning what lies beyond them."
