Offered on two separate dates (Feb. 13 and Feb. 14) at 4:30 pm Pacific Time, this one-hour, virtual group session aims to bring the heart chakra in balance, and unblock stress, anxiety and emotions which can cause disturbances in our personal relationships as well as lead to medical conditions like low or high blood pressure and other issues. Both sessions will be led by MyYogaTeacher instructor Shweta Jain.
According to Jain, "We have seven primary chakras or wheels of energy in our body traveling from the base of the spine up to the crown of the head. Of these, the fourth chakra is called 'Anahata' or 'Heart' chakra, as it is located at the center of the chest in line with our heart. It serves as our center of love, compassion, empathy and forgiveness towards oneself and others. Stress, anxiety and emotional upheavals can create a blockage in the heart chakra, causing disturbances in our relationships as well as low or high blood pressure, heart or lung conditions. In this session, we will use soothing background music in combination with the practice of heart opening yoga poses, breathing exercises and seed mantra chanting, to bring balance in our heart chakra. Thereby, surrounding ourselves with unconditional love, we truly connect to ourselves and our loved ones, and build healthy relationships. This session is open to all levels of practitioners."
