Audience of One Musical June 27-29

Audience of One is a brand new musical written by Lancaster native, Alisa Bair (composer and co-bookwriter/lyricist of "Georgia O'Keeffe: A Woman on Paper," premiered by OperaLancaster). It is inspired by a true story of a church youth choir that opts out of its summer choir tour in favor of a concert, just for God, on a mountaintop. While convinced that their trip is a holy invitation, a shoplifting incident and inclement weather threaten to derail their plans and challenge their faith. What does it mean to follow God, be disappointed in the actions of others, encounter frustrating obstacles, and still experience, more deeply than ever, the true meaning of worship?

This chorally rich musical features a cast of 13 adults, 14 youth, a 5-piece pit band, and invites its audiences to live life more fully and authentically as individuals in community before God.

For all ages. Family-friendly with messages most suitable for children over 8. Duration: 2.5 hours/two acts with intermission. Directed by Bonnie Bosso, with Vocal Director Jennifer Felty, Music Director J.P. Meyer, Set Designer Anne Flinchbaugh, Choreographer Marian West, and Stage Manager Elsa Rogers.
