Fri Sep 10 - The Armchair Soul Sessions presents a Mighty Friday night special deep in the lounge as we’re audio psyched, prepped and ready to welcome one of the truly great DJs / producers and musicologists of the 21st century, a man with a sublime eclectic taste for rare vinyl and wine. Talkin’ bout RAINER TRUEBY and the equally musically fearsome DJ and tastemaker + Wah Wah 45s head honcho DOM SERVINI deep in session, Free Entry at The CLF Art Lounge and Roof Garden.

RAINER TRUEBY

Rainer Trüby, ex-member of A Forest Mighty Black and today's master of rare vinyl and wine, is still busy with DJing around the globe (few airports have not seen his metal record box--vinyl, yes!) spreading his musical vision of "good music" delivering in between the different facets of house and electronic music and mixing it up with his beloved roots i.e. soul, boogie, jazz, funk, Latin. Known as part of the Trüby Trio and selector for compilations such as Glücklich or Talkin Jazz, and later Maiden Voyage (Compost) and Beats and Oexle (Sonarkollektiv) you wouldn't challenge his musical taste at all.

DOM SERVINI

Dom has been filling dance floors since the early 1990s with his beautifully blended, open minded mix of music steeped in soul, jazz and funk. From the early days of his Brighton residency with DJ Snowboy, his infamous late 90s Mouseorgan club events, to a decade and a half DJing under the Wah Wah 45s banner, Dom has become something of a clubbing institution.

Jazz And Everything

Also a successful radio DJ and music journalist, Dom’s sets are best extended and forward thinking, taking in hip hop, latin, electronica, house, jungle, disco, jazz and everything in between. The last couple of decades have seen Dom DJ as far afield as Canada, Japan and much of Eastern Europe, as well as being a festival favourite whilst still making time to play his London residences, such as his hugely popular monthly sessions at The South London Soul Train and various Wah Wah events.
