The Anansi Stories are part of our multicultural heritage and they are from an African Heritage. They have a universal appeal to all people in modern Britain.
The Anansi stories are humorous, lively, empowering and community led. Stories that travelled with enslaved African people to the Caribbean and beyond.
The show has rich potential to inspire children's creative projects. It also nourishes children's wellbeing through wonder, laughter and great music.
Swallow's Wings Puppetry are London based Black Creatives empowering children with a reverence for and love of African-Caribbean culture and history. They work with children, neurodiverse and hearing impaired communities as well as elders in their homes and community settings. They enchant, entertain, educate and build cross-generational dialogue.
