Against the Tide In-Person & Virtually - Help to Prevent Breast Cancer

Join Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC) in person at DCR's Nickerson State Park in Brewster, MA on Saturday, August 13th for Against the Tide. Now in its 23rd year, this swimming, running and walking event raises the funds used for MBCC's programs to educate about toxic chemicals that can cause breast cancer, and its work to eliminate these toxins from the environment where we and our children and grandchildren live.

Against the Tide events can be enjoyed by adults and children of all ages and abilities. Register now for one or more events at mbcc.org/swim. Events in person include 1-mile recreational and competitive swims, a USMS Sanctioned 1-mile swim (Sanction #022-W002), ½-mile recreational swim, 5K and 10K runs, and a 3-mile fitness walk.

You can join us virtually from wherever you are from August 6th through August 13th. Participate in a 1-mile recreational or competitive swim, a 1/2 mile recreational swim, a 5K or 10K run, or a 3-mile fitness walk. Register at mbcc.org/swim.

All participants will receive an event t-shirt. Prizes will be awarded for the top swim and run finishers of the in-person event. Registration for both the virtual and in-person options is $40 for an individual participant and $100 for a family registration (up to 5 family members).

Please note that if MBCC cannot hold the in-person event due to Covid restrictions, registrations will be transferred to the virtual event. Refunds will not be issued.
