"The Afterlife, Paranormal Encounters, and Spirits in the Everyday World"

Is there an afterlife? A Connecticut author who has been researching paranormal events for decades will discuss her work in a special virtual program hosted by the Seymour Historical Society. Ms. Sherman is author of the book, "You Are Not Alone: Our Loved Ones Are Here... You're Just Not Listening." She's a firm believer in the afterlife – and that it's possible (and beneficial) for all of us to have meaningful encounters with loved ones who have passed on. At the same time, she notes that the "paranormal" topic is often exploited by people spreading false claims and myths. In her program, Ms. Sherman will talk about encounters with "the other side" and invite viewers to consider the concept of the afterlife in a rational, scientific way.
