Walk to fight hunger and the disease, disaster, displacement and other challenges that leave people hungry - in the 45th Arlington CROP Hunger Walk on Saturday, October 15.
The need is especially great this year. With prices skyrocketing, food pantries are struggling to keep up with increased demand. Last year, Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) provided more than 3 million pounds of food to 5,583 families. Worldwide, the number of displaced people has surpassed 100 million for the first time. Millions of refugees have fled Ukraine, Afghanistan, Syria, and other countries. Hunger and food shortages are growing in country after country.
