21st Annual Book Signing and Scholarship Awards Event

The Educational and Charitable Foundation (ECF) located in Northern Virginia, will host its 21st Annual Book Signing and Scholarship Awards Program at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas, Virginia, on Sunday, April 05, 2020. This year's featured author is Mr. Blair Underwood, who will discuss his latest literary work, Olympic Pride, American Prejudice. Our annual fundraiser allows ECF to showcase the work we've done in the Northern Virginia community and recognize the achievements of our scholarship recipients.  Purchase your event tickets online at http://ec-foundation.org/events-news/.  
 
For background, ECF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt public charity, and it serves as the philanthropic affiliate to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Lambda Kappa Omega Chapter in Northern Virginia.  The foundation's mission is to provide educational and charitable services to individuals, groups, and organizations. Over the years, ECF has impacted the community by: 

• Awarding over $250,000 in a variety of grants and scholarships to deserving students and teachers; 
• Fighting childhood hunger through our snack and meal packaging events;
• Providing gifts to children in local hospitals during the Holiday season; and
• Supporting cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy through our trademarked Kozy Kerchief® and Kozy Kap® program.
