2019 Pocono Buddy Walk and Family Fun Day

This family fun day includes music, food, vendors, crafts, games, raffles, children's activities and entertainment, and a ceremonial walk in support of our friends, family, and community members with Down Syndrome. It is NOT a 5K. 

The Buddy Walk encourages participation from EVERYONE. You can simply join us the day of, or you can register on our website as a participant by forming your own team, joining an existing team, or making a donation. Teams can be formed in honor, memory, or support of someone, by local businesses, teachers, medical professionals, scouts, school groups, clubs or anyone!

The Buddy Walk is an initiative of the National Down Syndrome Society to help spread awareness in local communities. We are the only Buddy Walk in the tri-state area, serving Pike and Monroe Counties (PA), Sussex County (NJ), and Orange County (NY). The Buddy Walk is hosted by The North PPODS (Pocono Parents of children with Down Syndrome) and Friends, a non-profit support group open to parents of children with any special needs.
