£200 Prize Quiz and Mega Auction Funds Wildlife Conservation

An inspiring auction of promises offering a bounty of exceptional lots including a week's luxury accommodation in Morocco; a week's lavish accommodation in Cornwall, a rare opportunity to go fly fishing on the River Nadder, a Gong Bath and more besides is being held on Friday 6th September in Barford St Martin. Funds raised during the evening will help to create an inspirational wildlife project in the village.
As well as the Auction of Promises, the evening, being held at the Barford Inn, will also include a Mega Quiz, which will offer a fantastic cash prize of £200 to the winning team.
One lucky bidder at the auction, has a chance to sample the healing and restorative powers of a Gong Bath. This age-old practice can reduce stress levels, reduce depression and will potentially improve health.
The hour-long Gong Bath session is run by long-standing practitioner Joanie Solaini. This special auction prize is for up to five people. Participants will experience the power of a sound immersion treatment utilising a range of nineteen beautifully hand-crafted gongs. These are specifically tuned to frequencies based on orbital velocities of the planets."
The Auction and quiz are being organised by the Barford St Martin Community Fund, a village fund-raising initiative that benefits the local community. One of the major projects currently being organised by the committee is to create a fantastic wildlife haven for local wildlife species The project will create nesting and feeding areas and provide sanctuary for a wide range of species including birds, bats, butterflies and insects.
