Friends will engage participants in a brainstorming session on ideas and topics to be offered to the city’s planning process for the 50th observance, which will be coordinated by The Journey Museum. Plans are for an educational event that will inform citizens, and help them understand why we have the Greenway and who were the leaders behind that decision in 1972. Following the talk, a loop through Memorial Park will include a stop for remembrance at the memorial pillar containing names of the 238 citizens who died in the flood.
