ABOUT THE COLLEGE
Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University, was established in the year 199 8 for providing quality technical education to the young minds of the state. In all, the College offers seven UG and nine P. G. programmers in Engineering, Computer Applications and Management. It has full - fledged infrastructure furnished in all aspects with a world - class library as the highlight. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Mechanical Engineering Department was established in the year 1998. The Department offers 4 year B.E Degree course in Mechanical Engineering and 2 year Master Degree programme in CAD/CAM and Engineering Design. Due to Infrastructure, Facilities and Faculty, the Department has secured Anna University Permanent Affiliation in the year 2005 - 2006. Dedicated and Experienced faculty, 6 of them with Ph.D degrees and 30 others with M.E/ M.Tech degrees , drawn from industries and reputed academic institutions form the backbone of the department. The department has 21 Laboratories created with futuristic vis ion. The state of art CAD/CAM Lab, Fluid Mechanics and Machinery Lab, Thermal Lab and Dynamics Lab are examples. The Department is also a s recognized research Centre for offering Ph . D . programmes under Anna University. The students of Department of Mechanical Engineering are well molded for the industrial environment by making industrial visits mandatory and by encouraging them to undergo industrial training and do industry projects. Their creativity is also kindled by encouraging them to participate in inter - college competitions, mini project exhibitions, etc. The department also organizes several training program, workshops, seminars, etc for staff and students every year.

ABOUT THE LOCATION The college is situated at Kuniamuthur on the National highway to Palakkad about 6 Kilometers from Coimbatore. It is well connected by road, rail and airway.
