MUST-SEE TALK ON CLIMATE CHANGE COMING TO PROVIDENCE

Perennial Planters Garden Club and Citizens' Climate Education RI are pleased to host "The Climate-Change Primer", an introduction to and discussion of our changing climate. The public is welcome. There is no admission charge. Please reserve your seat through Eventbrite at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/c-change-primer-tickets-70798587481

The "C-Change Primer" presentation provides an accessible overview of the science behind climate change and a clear-eyed assessment of the potential risks ahead. It frames climate change in terms of the three areas that are most important to American voters: jobs and the economy; health and personal security; and terrorism, refugee crises, and geopolitical security.

The presenters are members of C-Change Conversations, a Princeton-based nonprofit organization, who developed the Primer in consultation with independent climate scientists and public policy specialists and have presented it to more than 6,500 people nationwide. It answers questions most Americans have about climate change, such as: How do we know climate change is real and is caused by humans? What is the scientific consensus? What are the dangers? Is there hope?

C-Change Conversations, founded and run by volunteers from across the political spectrum, have a simple aim: to move the conversation away from today's politicized language, and help us all understand the implications of climate change. C Change Trailer, on YouTube, provides a good introduction to the group, their mission and their non-confrontational, peer-to-peer approach to talking about climate change.
