Bridging the Gap is an annual STEM Education event whose goal is to strengthen K-16 STEM education throughout North Carolina by bringing together teachers and stakeholders from NC and beyond.
Bridging the Gap is an annual event whose goal is to strengthen K-16 STEM education throughout North Carolina. It brings together educators, business leaders, government officials and others who play a role in STEM education to share ideas and resources. Since Bridging the Gap was created in 2012, more than 2,760 STEM stakeholders from North Carolina and beyond have attended.
The 2019 event will feature presentations by speakers who hail from across North Carolina and beyond. All corners of the STEM education community will be represented — from K-12 and higher education to industry, state government and STEM nonprofits, such as museums and educational initiatives. Anyone involved with K-12 education, higher education, industry, government or other STEM groups who wants to help strengthen STEM education in North Carolina is encouraged to attend Bridging the Gap 2019. This year's event will be held at the McKimmon Center in Raleigh on October 22-23, 2019.
