Issa Coulibably, a Master Drummer from Bamako, Mali, will be performing with friends to celebrate his newly released CD "Djigui". Issa began playing the djembe and djun djun drums when he was 11 years old. Since then, he has toured the world, mesmerizing audiences with his drumming, dancing and singing. Today, Issa facilitates retreats and is the lead drummer and musical director for Rhode Island's Crocodile River Music's Didakan and is a rhythmic consultant and teacher for the Cape Cod women's percussion ensemble, The Drumma Queens. His first CD, "Foliba" highlights his flamboyant playing style. "Djigui" delivers another superb collection of vibrant and joyful traditional West African songs and rhythms with flute, balafon, famale, goni, djembe, djun-djun and vocals. The CD was recorded in Bamako, Mali and the U.S.
