Memorial Day Ceremony

The American Legion Evans-Blitz Post #922 and the High Acres Park Committee invite everyone to attend the Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 27, 2019. The ceremony will be from 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM approximately. It will include the National Moment of Remembrance at 3:00 PM. The event is free and open to the public. It will take place rain or shine. People will gather at the Memorial Garden located at the entrance to the park. Parking is available on the grounds.
The ceremony includes an honor guard, wreath laying, special musical selections, keynote remarks by John Christy, Monroe County Commissioner, remarks from others, and a moment where all veterans will be asked to stand and be recognized.
