The Atlanta Jewish Film Festival resumes its AJFF Selects series with a screening of The Museum. The film offers viewers an immersive exploration of Israel's most important cultural institution, the Israel Museum. Filmed over the course of 18 months during the museum's 50th-anniversary celebrations, cameras captured the daily routine of a cast of characters—the museum director, a singing security guard, a Palestinian guide, and other museum staff and visitors—while peering through galleries, storerooms, classrooms and offices. With surprising insight and unexpected humor, award-winning documentarian Ran Tal offers a striking reflection of the vast and diverse components of Israeli society. Presented in partnership with Atlanta’s own world-class museum, the High Museum of Art, the screening will be followed by a post-film reception and museum tour. Doors open at 7PM.
