Faced with one of the most challenging times of our lives, find out how to focus your creativity for a positive outcome when this is all over. From isolation comes inspiration and our innate female sense of humour gives us strength and resilience.

Working alone doesn't suit everybody and we're all running the risk of lockdown fatigue. Yet, from isolation comes inspiration and our innate female sense of humour gives us an added layer of strength and resilience. In this workshop we will give you some strategies to work behind and move beyond the screen to plan the life we want to lead when this is all over.

Wellbeing is paramount for personal and business survival so we've partnered with WEConnect International to create this online social forum to help you express yourself physically and mentally with a few endorphin and morale-boosting laughs along the way.

Hosted by, Lynne Parker, founder of Funny Women, a WEConnect International certified women's business enterprise, this session will feature two micro-workshops and some brilliantly funny entertainment.

Lynne Parker is the award-winning producer who created Funny Women In 2002, now the UK's leading community for female comedy helping women to perform, write and do business with humour. The Funny Women Awards are now running online in their 17th year and Lynne is usually busy producing live shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and all over the UK at this time of year. An experienced coach, Lynne also works with people in business and public life based on stand-up techniques to improve self-confidence and presentation skills.

How to Work Well Alone with Jo Carnegie
The life of a creative freelancer is great but can also come beset with stress, anxiety and isolation – and we are all experiencing this right now. We'll look at how to get work, retain what you already have, and develop new ways of collaborating. We'll explore how technology can come to the rescue by building contacts, learning how to stay connected, improving self-confidence, and putting in place essential work/life boundaries – it's often the simple things that work, like getting dressed for work even if you are just moving from bed to your new makeshift desk.

Jo is an author, advice columnist, journalist and speaker. She specialises in wellbeing, workplace loneliness and how to build more connected and creative cultures. Jo runs workshops and writes about what it means to be human in a tech-driven world.

Get you Mojo Pumping – Your Restart Strategy with Tracey Barr
This session will help you to define what you want from the next stage of your life; diagnose where you are now and what you have learnt from life so far; develop how to get from where you are now to where you want to be; decide which path to take and what you need for the journey; and deliver on your future vision.

Tracey is a leading independent strategy consultant with over 30 years' experience of providing expert advice and project leadership, management and support to a diverse range of strategic and business development projects, with a particular focus on the healthcare sector. Prior to working as an independent she held roles as managing director of a privately-owned corporate communications company, a general manager (with BUPA, the NHS and Quaker Oats) and a strategy consultant (with The LEK Partnership and Arthur Andersen). Tracey is chair of Funny Women's advisory board.

And to leave you on a happy hormone high, there's entertainment with brilliant musical comedy from 2016 Funny Women Awards winner Harriet Braine.

This event is free of charge working in collaboration with WEConnect International. We welcome donations which can be made here.
