Those looking to create the ultimate handmade Christmas this year need look no further than The South of England Agricultural Society’s Winter Fair. 2019’s programme now features two new workshops, so visitors can wow their friends with their creative skills over the festive period.
Running on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th November, the Winter Fair’s new workshops include a wreath making masterclass and chocolate workshops.
Participants in the wreath making sessions will learn the traditional moss-based method to create a festive Christmas wreath complete with evergreen foliage, berries, dried fruits, pine cones, and gorgeous festive accessories. The chocolate workshops allow youngsters the chance to decorate their own Christmas shapes, and adults can try their hand at truffle making - both taking their creations home to enjoy.

Also new this year at the Winter Fair are sugar craft demonstrations where local business Cake Matters will show you all the tips and tricks you need to create a magical Christmas cake.
Continuing the crafty theme, the Winter Fair also features a variety of stalls from independent artisan traders from across the South. Visitors can peruse a selection of handmade, quality gifts to kick off their Christmas shopping. including mouth-watering gin liqueurs, homemade jams, gourmet chutneys, cheeses and chocolate wine, as well as handmade wooden toys, artwork, jewellery, lovingly produced leather and cashmere fashion, natural soap stunning home accessories, Christmas decorations and much more.
