An exciting and diverse exhibition of contemporary and modern printmaking by five artists from Sussex.

James T.A. Osborne (1907-1979) was born in Ninfield and studied at Hastings School of Art before embarking on a brilliant career starting with a scholarship to the Royal College of Art, attaining the prestigious Prix de Rome award and becoming a member, then fellow of the Royal Society of Printmaker-Engravers. His work was exhibited over fifty times at the RA and is collected in national museums such as the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Ashmolean. Osborne is known for his detailed wood engravings (a rarely mastered technique) and woodcuts and linocuts of wildlife. Fifteen prints including reasonably priced re-strikes will be on show at Keizer frames.

Contemporary works on show include: limited edition prints by artist-illustrator Fiona Richardson who uses dry point etching and chine colle (collaging found papers) to create dream-like works inspired by the beautiful Sussex surroundings; screenprints, linocuts and etchings from drawings made on location during world travels by Rachel Clark; and experimental polymer and solar etchings by Sussex artist Kate Osborne.

Mixed-media artist Elaine Foster-Gandey is known for inclusive works that challenge social stereotypes and norms such as her ground-breaking catwalk show 'Real people catwalk show' at the ICA in London that sparked much media attention. Her painting 'Two girls in masks' was selected by YBA artist Tracey Emin as one of her favourites at the Royal Academy summer exhibition 2014. For the Keizer Frames show, she is presenting a new series of etchings.
