Exploring the World Through Photography 

What is it About?

This workshop explores the use of photography as a medium to explore their surroundings. It can be a powerful tool to express yourself as well as create a journal one’s own experiences. Participants will learn several technical aspects of taking a photograph, which will help them improve their skills. This will include exploring different perspectives, identifying shapes and colours to develop an aesthetic sense, understanding reflections, shadows & silhouettes and finally learning to tell stories through photography.

Who is Hosting the Workshop?

Vidyavati Chandan is a photographer with more than a decade’s experience in documentary and travel photography. She has been conducting photography workshops for children since 2014. Her association with NGOs like Dharavi Diary, YUVA & CRH, Salaam Mumbai Foundation and AURA has given her the chance to work with almost 200 underprivileged children. The children’s works were also later displayed at Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2015, Focus Photography 2015 and several community exhibitions as well.
