Also when Jeannine Delwiche first coined the term “you eat with your eyes first” she was referring to the idea that visually absorbing something is proven to change how we taste and smell the food we see on our plates. Gone are the days when you whip up a meal in a rush against the clock, present it to your customers and move onto the next order. With social media platforms such as Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook rising in popularity, ensuring meals are picture-perfect, while also remaining flavoursome, has never been more important.

Along with your eyes, open up all your senses and experience an intriguing and fashionable world of food styling. This 1 day immersive workshop on Food Styling & Photography workshop with the mentor as good as Farhana Hameed and the photographer as good as Shailja Bhatnagar. This workshop will open up the possibilities to learn & understand end to end aspects of food styling and also the basis to illuminate the setup and capture some mesmerizing images. 

ABOUT THE MENTORS

1. SHAILJA BHATNAGAR- THE CLICK GUIDE

At her core Shailja Bhatnagar is an Artist. Right from her childhood she fell in love with the creative process. She started capturing pictures at a very early age. She has been  practicing photography for more than a decade specializing in commercial shoots. Hailing from the prestigious institute of Lights & Life Academy, Shailja sees photography as a natural extension of her passion to arts. 

She is specialized in working on portraits, product & commercial shoots. In a relatively short period of time Shailja earned the respect of artists, photographers and celebrities alike. 

1. FARHANA HAMEED- THE CHEF

Passionate about cooking, she strongly believes in Bernand Shaw’s quote that there is no love sincerer than the love of food . A neurosurgeon by profession, she was brought into contact with food by a stroke of destiny decades ago. Her love for the culinary has come to define her since, a transformation that is the essence of all.Her love for food came from her rich Kashmiri heritage, sinful curries and decadent meaty flavours are her soul food. After moving to Delhi, she discovered her love for different cuisines such as Continental, Italian and Middle Eastern. She now enjoys and has honed expertise in confectionery and pastry arts as a home baker. Kashmiri by birth, a Delhiite for over 25 years and a global soul by nature, she loves experimenting with various cuisines, ingredients and making some interesting dishes.
