Women’s Equality in our Society
Adda Session II—a resolution-oriented conversation on the age-old cultural phenomenon of women's inequality in the Indian society.
We proud Indians of the twenty-first century rejoice in celebrations when a boy is born, and if it is a girl, a muted or no celebrations is the norm.
Ramayana, you are familiar with the epic, and its central figures. How many women do you remember from that time? Were you even curious to know? It's been a patriarchal society throughout, and unfortunately it has transcended even to this day. Inequality, justice, and empowerment will be discussed keeping in mind the women THEN and NOW.
Even women, through continued socio-cultural conditioning, have accepted their second-hood. Women of today need to be empowered to stand up and carve out a niche for themselves, have their own voice, and make it heard to the world at large.
It is a synergic request to the members to become a part of the event and share their unique ideas, experiences, stories and anecdotes in order to address the urgency of the situation at hand.
We, as a publishing house, are contributing to this cause. This is just one simple way to make the world hear.
We hope you would also join us to further magnify the cause.
