CERTIFICATION

Participants receive their certificates of completion of 200-hour yoga teacher training on successful completion of the course which enables them to enroll themselves as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT) with Yoga Alliance and conduct yoga classes at a place of their choice anywhere in the world.

COURSE CONTENTS / SYLLABUS

The syllabus of the course has been designed to achieve the above-mentioned objectives in the complete curriculum. The course is divided into four modules for four weeks and each module will be complementary to its successor. The approach of study is from beginners to advanced level. Starting with the elementary practices, the course will cover the advanced levels towards the last modules. Students will be given exposure to the yogic discipline in a conducive and positive attitude so as to prevent any misconceptions or impressions to be formed.

PRACTICAL SESSIONS

Technique, teaching, method, application, contraindication, and benefits of Sookshma vyaayaam (basic and preparatory movements) - basic and preparatory movements to warm up the body, muscles, and align the joints are taught in the program. These movements help to achieve the full range of motion for the joints, prevent injuries during difficult yoga poses, and develope the body awareness. Pawanmuktasan series 1, 2, 3.

ELIGIBILITY

Any level of practitioner can enroll in the 200-hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh. A flexible body free of injuries is not a requirement for this training, in fact, people with all body types and those who can take physical challenges are encouraged to consider this program. At least one year of regular practice prior to the start this course is optional.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

There will be regular interaction with masters from the disciplines of yoga, Ayurveda, astrology, Vedanta, and life sciences. This helps to know more about the integral yoga and related sciences, hence, increasing understanding about these holistic ways of health and well-being.

Furthermore, Yagya or holy fire ceremony is also organized while the course. It is an opportunity to learn to sacrifice the false ego. In addition to that, it cultivates samskaras of compassion and harmony with the whole universe.

Satsang and silent meditation, mantra chanting, discourses or readings on the philosophy of yoga and Vedanta will help to develop a strong and steady state of mind very especially relevant in practical life situations of arousal and aggression.

200-HOUR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING ETHICS AND BEHAVIOR GUIDELINES

Jeevmoksha Yoga Gurukul follows the traditional approach of yoga in teaching and practice. Therefore teachings can be different from the pattern taught in most of the western countries. They do not follow or teach any of the modern-day modifications of yoga which are presented by several names. The students must keep in mind that the teachings will be strictly under the traditional principles of yoga.

Behavior is an integral part of learning as well as the assessment procedure. Students must, therefore, adhere to the idea of community and harmony. This is extremely helpful to learn and grow and is an integral part of the Gurukul system. They intend to culminate the experience of well-being on mental and physical planes of a person. The purpose of training and routine is to gain the maximum of your time and efforts.

Discipline is a must. So the students must pursue the course routine and structure seriously. There is no provision for having guests. The information has to be provided to the administration beforehand if you are having visitors on the campus.

Attendance in all classes on time is a must. Students need to possess a competent state of physical and mental health. Because the practices of yoga can be strenuous sometimes for body and mind, please consult your physician before commencing the course if any issues of health exist and inform the Jeevmoksha administration.

200-HOUR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING IN RISHIKESH TERMS AND CONDITIONS

In order to ensure a firm progress, the student must attend all the sessions without fail. Visiting hours of friends and relatives are limited during the day. The accommodation provided will be simple and basic in nature with one room with attached toilets and the meals served will also be plain and Sattvic in composition.

For any grievances please contact the course coordinator. The candidature is subject to cancellation at any time during the course due to misbehavior or non-compliance with the rules and regulations by the student at the discretion of the Jeevmoksha administration. In addition to above, please make sure to clear all the dues before leaving the premises.

 Included excursions

This yoga teacher training includes complimentary spiritual tours and sightseeing treks. You will visit Vasishtha Cave, an ancient spiritual center where you can meditate while sitting inside a cave with high spiritual energy and extreme silence. The cave is timeless situated along the river of holy Ganga. Legendary Sage Vasishtha has spent a considerable amount of his life at this point.

In addition to that, nature walks and treks are a regular feature of the program where students are exposed to nearby places of serenity and peace. The guided tour is organized to the places like Kunjapuri in order to get a glimpse of Himalayan natural landscape and beauty. You will visit Kunjapuri temple, a highly charged site of Shakti, the Goddess. One of the most revered places of the region to worship and imbibe the energy of Maa Shakti.

ACHARYA VINAY

Acharya Vinay was born into a Brahmin family where yoga was a household virtue and his grandfather passed his legacy to his father in form of traditional values of yoga, astrology, and dharma. He started studying the scriptures on Veda, Upanishads, and yoga under his father at the early age of 12. He was driven onto this sacred path of acquiring the yogic knowledge under his father. By family lines, Acharya is a disciple of the ancient Sri Vidya tradition of Tantra. It’s the oldest followed sect in India which is established on the principles of Shakti and her attributes.
