Join the BPC, Buffalo Chamber Players, and the Alzheimer's Association of WNY for a beautiful afternoon of stories through song. Featured is Robert Cohen's "Alzheimer's Stories" and Bach's "Magnificat." A special Q and A with the AAWNY will follow the performance.

"Alzheimer's Stories" (2009) was composed by American composer, Robert Cohen, to lift up the voices of those living with Alzheimer's Disease and their caretakers and loved ones. It features history of the disease, texts of those who have experienced it, and delivers a message of hope for the future. "Magnificat" was composed by J. S. Bach in 1733 and is a musical setting of the biblical canticle Magnificat. Scored in five parts for Baroque orchestra (including trumpets and timpani), it is the first major liturgical composition on a Latin text by Bach.
