~THE MUSIC PROJECT~
featuring
Yevgenia Strenger, violin ~ Sander Strenger, viola
Dan Berlinghoff, piano ~ with special guest, Steve Hartman, clarinet.

THE MUSIC PROJECT will present 3 trios, with clarinet, piano, and violin or viola, by Milhaud, Schumann and Mozart, plus a violin/viola duo by Martinu.

THE MUSIC PROJECT was formed in 1975 to explore the repertory for winds, strings and piano. Music Project concerts were held at the Ukrainian Institute, Marymount Manhattan Theater, Christ and St. Stephen’s Church, Merkin Hall, Society for Ethical Culture and Carnegie Recital Hall. Concerts at Town Hall in 1978 earned critical praise for the ensemble as "the chamber music ideal" (New York) and the "bright, fresh alternative to the established Chamber Music Society at Lincoln Center" (The New Yorker). The ensemble performed for more than two decades in Manhattan and on tour, including appearances at the Caramoor Festival, Crystal Palace, Frick Collection, and broadcasts over WNYC, WQXR,WNCN, and WFUV. The 100th subscription concert was held in 1994. Since the series finale in 1998, Project members periodically join forces to play for their own enjoyment- and, we sincerely hope, yours!

Dan Berlinghoff, instrumental in the development of our first "Masterpieces at the Meetinghouse" Series will be performing on the beautiful, historic Steinway that he so generously donated to the South Harwich Meetinghouse.

"What a delight! Combinations that keep everyone's interest peaked" WQXR
