The Goliards announce with pleasure a performance titled Minstrels of Albion, which will take place on Sunday, May 28, at 3:00 P.M., at St. Paul's Episcopal Church (34th and Abercorn). Admission will be $15.00 (at the door). For further information, call John Hillenbrand at (912) 604-8983.
The concert will consist of popular songs, dances, hymns and motets from thirteenth and early fourteenth century England, and will be accompanied by reconstructions of instruments of the period (vielles, rebec, sinfonye and positive organ).
We have a new soprano, Dr. Emily Williams Burch who will be doing much of the heavy lifting during this performance. We will also be joined by Mr. MacDowell Fogle, who is the Director of Music at St. Paul's.
