A spectacular London derby like no other as Harlequins celebrate women in sport at The Game Changer

Allianz Premier 15s Champions Harlequins Women host the country’s biggest annual Women’s club rugby event on February 5 at The Twickenham Stoop.

The Game Changer is back and better than ever! Reigning Premier 15s Champions Harlequins Women welcome their London rivals Saracens Women to South West London in a repeat fixture of last season’s dramatic final at Kingsholm in Gloucester.

Returning on Saturday February 5, KO 14:00, featuring an all-star cast of the biggest names in the sport, Harlequins once again take on Saracens in a clash of past Champions. Harlequins have long been a pioneer in Women’s rugby and staying true to form, The Game Changer is back in what is the biggest standalone fixture in Women’s club rugby. A record-breaking event, having set a new milestone for attendance to a standalone Women’s club match in its second instalment as Quins welcomed Gloucester-Hartpury in 2019, The Game Changer is a day of celebration for not only women’s rugby, but women in sport.

Before the match, there will be a chance to take part in a U13/U15 Girls Festival, otherwise known as The Game Changer Cup, hosted on the Craneford Way pitches in Twickenham. Teams will take part in a waterfall tournament on the day, all teams will have equal game time opportunity, with representatives from Harlequins Women visiting groups on the day.

Harlequins Women Head Coach Gerard Mullen said: “The Game Changer event is more than simply encouraging young women to interact with rugby. It’s about changing and improving how women’s sports are received. We still have a long way to go but, everyone at Harlequins Women is excited to be a part of it this season! All rugby fans know the history behind Harlequins vs Saracens and we’ll be looking to put on a show for all our amazing fans that support us week in week out.”
