Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Towcester February 2024

Funhouse Comedy returns to Towcester Mill Brewery on Thursday February 29th for a great night of laughter.

Topping the bill is the compelling and frank comedian and writer, Daliso Chaponda who came 3rd in ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2017 and then landed himself his own stand-up comedy show on BBC Radio 4. Hailing from Malawi, where his father is a government minister, he started his comedy career in Canada with the much-admired one man show ‘Feed This Black Man’. With his ability to talk about anything from politics and religion to romance, he amuses his audiences with his distinctive accent and unique outlook on the world.

Opening the night will be Michael Shafar one of Australia's hottest comedy stars with numerous TV appearances in his homeland. He is now ready to take the UK comedy circuit by storm. After swapping law for comedy he then embarked on a journey to mend ties with his Jewish mother, succeeding to some extent. His hilarious personal tales leave everyone wanting for more.

Also appearing is winner of Silver Stand Up Competition 2022, the cheery and chatty Nik Hill.

Compere for the night will be Pete Teckman who has been crowned Silver Stand Up of the Year 2017 at Leicester Comedy festival, an award for comedians over 40 years of age, with his mix of self deprecating and observational humour.
