Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Nottingham September 2022

Funhouse Comedy is back at The Garage, Chilwell (Barton's) Nottingham on Friday September 30th another night full of laughter.

Topping the bill is the exciting and energetic Vince Atta, who recently supported Jason Manford. Using a multi-track looper and pedals, Vince creates live on the spot Hip-Hop/Reggae/Techno/anything, hilariously fusing it with natural stand-up, storytelling and characters, creating the most infectious songs you're ever likely to hear and going down a storm with audiences all over the UK.

Opening the night will be Scottish comedian and writer Stephen Carlin who supported both Stewart Lee and Stephen Merchant on tour and appeared in 'Stewart Lee Presents 'The Ten Best Stand-ups in the World Ever'. He also appeared on ITV's 'Comedy Cuts' and has written for various radio programmes including 'The News Quiz' and 'The Now Show'. His dreamy and calm onstage persona captivates everyone whilst his distinctive humour never fails to leave them howling with laughter.

Also appearing is Shazia Mirza, an international award-winning comedian and columnist for the Guardian Weekend magazine who has also guested on 'Have I Got News For You?' From Birmingham, she was previously a science teacher with one of her former pupils being the rapper Dizzee Rascal. Star of radio and TV she has appeared on 'Last Comic Standing', 'Richard and Judy' and 'The Wright Stuff'. Shazia's distinctive act combines a deadpan delivery with observation on her world; her laconic one-liners represent something quite unique in modern comedy.

Compere for the night will be the calm and carefree, writer and stand-up Tony Cowards. His smart and hilariously stupid jokes, always leaves people rolling in the aisles!
