This annual charity fundraising event is a self-directed garden tour, showcasing a variety of private gardens in the Cowichan Valley. It is an opportunity for gardening enthusiasts to explore unique and diverse gardens, gain inspiration, and learn about various plants and gardening techniques. Proceeds from the Tour go towards supporting our affordable counselling services and programs.
This year there will be seven spectacular gardens with a variety of florals, trees, water features, and vegetation. Adding to a perfect day, we are once again hosting our lovely Tea Garden, returning after three years. At the Tea Garden you will be entertained with musical performances from 11:00 to 3:00 pm, and an artist will be on hand. A second artist will be at another garden.
Tickets are still just $25. A map to the gardens on the Tour is part of the ticket, so you only know the locations of the seven gardens by purchasing one. Master Gardeners will be on hand at each of the gardens to answer your questions.
This is a very popular event, and tickets sell out quickly. The Garden Tour makes a wonderful Mother's or Father's Day gift and a lovely outing for friends. Many people attend from Victoria to Nanaimo and further. Tickets are available at The Third Addition Toys and Gifts (Mill Bay), Dinters Nursery, Buckerfield's Supply Store, Party Mood (frontage road off TCH by Bench Road), Volume One Bookstore, Russell Farms Market and Garden Centre (Chemainus), and CFLA. They can also be purchased by sending an e-transfer to [email protected].
For more information, email [email protected] or call CFLA at 250-748-8281. Please note that we're moving effective May 1, 2023. Our new offices will be at #102-481 Trans Canada Hwy (St. Julian Plaza), Duncan, BC V9L 3R7.
