This course seeks to build an understanding of how gender statistics can be used to enhance evidence-based policymaking at the country level among data producers and users. The course makes the business case for gender-informed statistics, looks at data sources, conceptual and measurement issues, how to analyze and interpret the data.
Narrated presentations are accompanied by guided readings, and case studies from around the world. There are exercises and interactive discussions to analyze and apply the information learned, and share experiences with other practitioners around the world.
