With change comes conflict. Conflict can be positive or negative depending on the attitude and skills of the participants. Collaborative conflict is characterized by an approach in which people attack problems rather than each other. Essential components of collaborative conflict resolution include selection of basic technique, preparation for confrontation, and viewing the situation from the other person's perspective. Conflict resolution, otherwise known as reconciliation, is conceptualized as the methods and processes involved in facilitating the peaceful ending of conflict and retribution.
This training helps participants understand the causes of conflict and improve their ability to use a range of conflict management styles. Tools are provided and practiced for resolving conflict in a collaborative, win-win environment.
