INTRODUCTION
Training course on Climate Change and Human Health will provide participants with the ability to recognize the linkages between climate change and health and provide them with methods and tools to manage the impact of climate change on health. Examples will be drawn, whenever possible, from both developed and developing countries and cases studies will serve as a basis for learning
Climate change is an emerging threat to global public health. Direct impacts resulting include the effects of rising temperatures and more intense heat waves and floods. Warmer temperatures and a more variable climate can impact agricultural production and food availability, the availability of clean water and sanitation, and the transmission of vector and water-borne diseases.
