Yes, it'll be a corporate car treasure hunt among the teams fielded by renowned companies based in Kolkata.
Organised by 'Kolkata on WHEELS' magazine, it'll be an immensely exciting and intellectual pursuit to promote the City of Joy.

Programme:

Sunday 20 AUGUST 2017

9.00 A.M. – Reporting of competitors / Branding of competing vehicles
9.30 pm: Competitors’ Briefing
10.00 A.M. – Flag-off
1.30 P.M. – Finish of event / Beverage & Lunch
3.30 P.M. – Prize Distribution Ceremony
4.00 P.M. – Event ends

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Reporting formalities:

1. Reporting time: 9.00 am at event venue
2. A member of the competing team shall have to report at the Reporting booth after parking the competition vehicle at the flag-off line-up.
3. S/he shall have to produce the Money Receipt / Email acknowledgment at the time of reporting, issued against the Entry. Failure to produce the Money Receipt / Email acknowledgment shall bar participation to the event.
4. S/he shall be required to sign the Reporting Sheet at the Registration booth.
5. On reporting, the competing team shall receive the following: (a) Competition number stickers (b) Sponsors' stickers (c) Competitors' Kit (d) Lunch Coupons

Parking sequence:

1. Reporting time: 9.00 am at event venue
2. Before the event, the competing cars shall be lined up according to the competition numbers issued by the Reporting booth.
3. After finishing the event, on return to the event venue, the competing cars may be parked at any available parking space.

Format of the event:

1. The event shall comprise of three activities:-
2. 7 Clues shall be given to each competing team during the event (6 destinations + 1 passage control). Correct answers to these clues shall lead to 7 destinations inside the city of Kolkata covering a maximum distance of 80 kilometres. The competing teams shall try to solve the clues and reach these 7 secret destinations within a maximum of 3 hours of time. On reaching each secret destination, the competitors shall be endorsed with an endorsement sticker by the Marshals on their 'Answer Sheet' to signify their arrivals at the secret destinations.There shall be no order or sequence to these secret destinations and can be attempted in any order. This exercise is aimed to test the knowledge of the competitors on the city of Kolkata.
3. A question paper containing 6 questions shall have to be digitally downloaded during the event. These 6 questions shall be based on subjects of Kolkata and Motoring. The answers to these questions shall have to be ticked in the 'Answer Sheet'. On returning to the event venue, the 'Answer Sheet' shall have to be submitted at the Reporting booth. No overwriting is allowed on the 'Answer Sheet'.
4. There shall be 3 scavenger items to collect during the event which have to be submitted at the Reporting booth along with the 'Answer Sheet' on return.

Points :

1. 7 correct destinations x 200 points = 1400 points
2. 6 correct answers x 50 points = 300 points
3. Collection of 3 Scavenger items x 100 points = 300 points
4. Total = 2000 points

Additional Penalties:

1. Late reporting at the event venue after 9.15 am = 50 points
2. Finishing the event early - before 2.30 hours of time from flag-off = 50 points
3. Loss or not putting stickers on the competing vehicle = 50 points per sticker
4. Loss of 'Answer Sheet' = Disqualified from event
5. Any vehicle involved in accident during the event = Disqualified from event

Distance of the event:

1. The maximum total distance to be covered by competing teams shall be 80 km.

Speed of the event:

1. The recommended driving speed shall be as per the prescribed traffic regulation. No extra points shall be awarded for reaching the secret destinations or finishing the event early. On the contrary, arrival before 2.30 hours from the time of flag-off will attract a penalty of 50 points, irrespective of covering all the destinations. A grace time of 30 minutes shall be given to finish the event safely. Thus the maximum permissible driving time of the event shall be 3 hours 30 minutes from the flag-off time of a competing team.

Finisher:
A competitor shall be deemed to be a 'finisher' on compliance of the following -

1. A team completing the event within the maximum permissible time limit of 3 hours 30 minutes from its flag off time.
2. Timely deposit of the 'Answer Sheet' at the Reporting booth in the event venue.
